Is it normal for my Filabot EX2 to overshoot the set temperature to 300°C, or have I done something wrong?
Temperature overshooting during startup can be normal as the auto-tuning function adjusts the heating elements. If you are tuning at high temperatures, such as near 280–290°C, overshoots can reach up to 300°C and are generally within expected limits. However, if you are tuning at lower temperatures, like 150°C, an overshoot beyond 200°C would be unusual and may be due to the failure of the PID or relay - both inexpensive parts to replace. For your first startup, light smoke may appear due to residual manufacturing oils—this is normal. If you notice excessive or continuous smoke after tuning, please contact us.
