Filament isn't coming out of the EX2; pellets are not feeding into the barrel.
1.) What material are you using? Are you following the manufacturer’s recommended heat settings? If the temperature of the barrel or screw is too high, the material may melt too far up the screw, preventing it from being conveyed down effectively. In this case, clean the screw and lower your heat settings.
2.) Is the material recycled or new? Using 100% recycled material may not always feed successfully. Mixing it with virgin pellets can often resolve this issue.
3.) Can you remove the nozzle to check if the screw is turning? If the screw is still running, the material might be melting slightly at the bottom of the hopper before entering the barrel. This can lead to inconsistent material flow. We recommend lowering the temperature of the extruder, and ensure that the material is not bridging at the bottom of the hopper.
Would you suggest using purge compound? You can run purge compound through the extruder as a cleaning step, which may help improve material flow and overall performance.
